Iran secured the 2026 CAFA Women's Futsal Championship title after routing host Tajikistan 8-1 in its final match of the regional tournament in Dushanbe.
The Iranian women's national futsal team capped a dominant campaign with another commanding display, following up its opening 5-0 victory over Kyrgyzstan to finish the competition with two wins from two matches.
Shaghayegh Motamedi, Elham Anafjeh and Maral Torkaman each scored twice against Tajikistan, while Farzaneh Karimi and Maryam Ghaedamini also found the net as Iran outclassed the hosts.
Iran's dominance was also reflected in the tournament's individual honors.
Maral Torkaman was named the competition's Most Valuable Player, Farzaneh Karimi finished as the top scorer, and veteran goalkeeper Farzaneh Tavasoli received the Best Goalkeeper award.

Motamedi was selected as the Player of the Match in Iran's victory over Tajikistan after her two-goal performance.
The title underlined Iran's status as the leading force in Central Asian women's futsal, with the team scoring 13 goals and conceding just once over the course of the tournament.
Iran opened its campaign with a convincing 5-0 win over Kyrgyzstan before sealing the championship with its comprehensive victory against Tajikistan.
The national team is scheduled to return to Tehran on Sunday following its successful campaign in the Tajik capital.
