Iran’s Army has firmly stressed its complete readiness to protect the country’s security, sovereignty, and national interests in the event of any violation of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed with the United States.

The statement, released on Friday, came one day after the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Armed Forces, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, issued a message regarding the historic MoU signed by the presidents of Iran and the United States.

The Iranian Army said that it stands fully prepared and vigilant, with hands on the trigger and ears attuned to the orders of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief.

Iranian armed forces will continue to enhance their combat power daily and are prepared to safeguard the security, dignity, and interests of the noble Iranian nation, even at the cost of their own lives, should the enemy betray its commitments, read the statement.

The statement emphasized: “The steadfast resistance of the Iranian people, the sacrifices and dedication of the armed forces, the compassion of the people’s government, along with the wise directives of the martyred leader of the nation and the guidance of the dear Leader and the Commander-in-Chief on the battlefield of the third imposed war, compelled the enemy to respect the great Iranian nation and accept the path of ceasefire and understanding.”

The armed forces reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to defending the legitimate rights of the great nation of Iran and the entire Axis of Resistance.

The MoU, signed remotely by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and US President Donald Trump, establishes a permanent end to hostilities on all fronts.

It includes the removal of the US naval blockade within 30 days, the full restoration of commercial traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, a comprehensive reconstruction plan valued at a minimum of $300 billion, and the complete lifting of US sanctions.

Under the agreement, both sides have entered a 60-day period of negotiations aimed at reaching a comprehensive and final accord.

This understanding was achieved following the unprovoked US-Israeli war of aggression and terrorism against Iran that began in late February, a war that the Iranian nation and its armed forces heroically resisted and ultimately forced the enemy to retreat from.
