Leaders and elders of Iran’s Baloch tribes have issued a statement expressing full support for the message of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution regarding the recent memorandum of understanding between Tehran and Washington.

The declaration follows a Thursday message by Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei in which he addressed the MoU remotely signed by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and US President Donald Trump.

In their statement, Baloch elites, clerics, and educated figures praised the Iranian nation for displaying unity, vigilance, and national might under the Leader's guidance.

They emphasized that the Leader's message regarding the agreement "indicates the Islamic system's commitment to maintaining the dignity, independence, national interests, and rights of the Iranian nation."

The newly signed MoU aims to permanently end hostilities following an unprovoked US-Israeli war of terrorism against Iran that began in late February.

The agreement mandates the lifting of US sanctions and the removal of the US naval blockade within 30 days. It also outlines a reconstruction plan worth at least $300 billion and the restoration of commercial traffic through the Strait of Hormuz.

The tribal leaders noted that any engagement with global powers must be rooted in wisdom and expediency.

"We, the heads, elders, elites, clerics, trustees, and educated members of the Baloch tribes, while announcing our full support for the positions and guidelines of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, emphasize that any interaction with global powers must be based on dignity," the statement read, adding that it must fully preserve the ideals of the Islamic Revolution.

Ayatollah Khamenei noted in his Thursday message that Iranian officials approached the agreement with compassion and goodwill. In contrast, he stated the US president used various leverage points out of "desperation."

The Leader said he had initially held a differing view on the agreement. However, he authorized the pact after President Pezeshkian pledged, on behalf of himself and the Supreme National Security Council, to safeguard the rights of Iran and the resistance front.

Echoing this firm stance, the Baloch statement warned that the Iranian people will stand by the leadership and armed forces. They stressed they will not allow any power to damage the country's independence through excessive demands.

The tribes also reaffirmed their unwavering loyalty to Iran, its security, and national unity, pledging to back any decision that protects national interests.

Under the MoU, Tehran and Washington have now entered a 60-day negotiation period aimed at securing a final, comprehensive deal.

Ayatollah Khamenei has cautioned that while Iran will await the fulfillment of the stated conditions, the upcoming in-person negotiations "will not mean accepting the enemy's view."

The first round of talks after the signing of the MoU was scheduled to begin in Switzerland on Friday, however, it has been called off.
