Medical plaster in short supply as Israeli 'dual-use' restrictions halt restoration

In Gaza, Israel’s strict blockade bans the entry of gypsum and medical plaster under the pretext that they are dual-use materials.

The restriction has halted reconstruction efforts and left orthopedic departments paralyzed. Facing the risk of permanent deformities, thousands of injured patients now rely on doctors using primitive alternatives such as wooden boards and cardboard from aid boxes.
