A series of new Israeli attacks have killed at least five civilians and wounded several others in Lebanon amid continued violations of a ceasefire agreement by the Tel Aviv regime’s forces.

At least four Lebanese citizens were killed in a massacre carried out by Israeli forces after a house in the town of Kfar Sir, in the Nabatieh District, was targeted on Tuesday morning.

In a separate attack, another Lebanese civilian was killed in an Israeli strike targeting a motorcycle in the town of Frun, located in the Bint Jbeil District.

Israeli warplanes also carried out raids targeting Zebqin, Kafra, al-Malkiya, Frun, Majdal, al-Shihabiya, and Harouf in the southern part of the Arab country.

Additional strikes hit the al-Maashouq area near Tyre, as well as areas between Kfardounin and Deir Kifa.

Separate Lebanese media reports said Israeli drone strikes later wounded two civilians near the Harouf municipality building while they were reportedly preparing to distribute bread to residents.

The media also reported that Israeli artillery fired internationally prohibited phosphorus shells toward the town of Arnoun in the Nabatieh district.

In a statement on X, the Israeli military issued displacement orders to a dozen towns and villages in southern Lebanon.

Meanwhile, the Hezbollah resistance movement announced new retaliatory drone operations targeting occupying Israeli military positions and communications equipment.

The escalation unfolded amid ongoing direct negotiations between the Lebanese government and Israel in Washington, and only days after the ceasefire agreement was extended for another 45 days under US sponsorship.

Israeli forces continue near-daily strikes, shelling, and incursions across southern Lebanon despite the ceasefire announced on April 17 and later extended into early July.

The Israeli assault on Lebanon since March 2 has killed more than 3,025 people and wounded over 9,200 others, while displacing more than one million people.
