India’s farmers under pressure as Hormuz crisis disrupts fertilizer supplies

Rising tensions in the Persian Gulf are putting pressure on India’s struggling agriculture sector. That follows the US-Israeli war of aggression on Iran that began on February 28 and caused disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz.

As a result, supplies of raw materials used to produce fertilizers have declined, raising concerns about food production.
