MKO-affiliated Mossad spy executed in Iran

A convicted member of the terrorist MKO was executed over espionage Mossad on April 23, 2026.

‎A member of the terrorist Mujahedeen-e Khalq Organization (MKO), convicted of carrying out multiple attacks and spying for the Israeli regime's Mossad spy agency, has been executed after his death sentence was upheld by Iran’s top tribunal.

‎Soltanali Shirzadi-Fakhr was hanged on Thursday following the completion of judicial proceedings and the confirmation of the final verdict by Iran's Supreme Court.

MKO members spent many years in Iraq, where they were hosted and armed by the former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein. They sided with Saddam during the 1980-88 imposed war against Iran and later helped him suppress domestic uprisings in various parts of the Arab country.

‎More than 17,000 Iranians, many of them civilians, have been killed at the hands of the MKO in acts of terrorism including bombings in public places and targeted killings.

Shirzadi-Fakhr crossed the Iranian border into Iraq in 1987 and joined the MKO. There, he received training on the ideological and structural foundations of the anti-Iran terror group under the auspices of its top leaders, Masoud and Maryam Rajavi.

‎He was also taught how to launch rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs), drive battle tanks and armored personnel carriers, operate twin-barreled and four-barreled anti-aircraft autocannons, and fire shots with DShK M1938 heavy machine guns.

Based on the explicit confessions of the convict, he took part in the MKO's aborted anti-Iran operations, Forough-e Javidan and Chelcheraq, and was among the terrorists injured during clashes with the Iraqi army when the latter raided Camp Ashraf in April 2011.

Following the Iraqi government’s takeover of Camp Ashraf, Shirzadi-Fakhr immigrated to Spain.

He was then assigned by Mossad to carry out a top-secret plot inside Iran.

‎He subsequently set off for Iran under the false pretext of reuniting with family members and relatives.

‎However, he was captured by Iranian intelligence forces upon arrival in the country, before he could carry out any act of terror.

‎Following interrogations and investigations, the MKO member was convicted of waging war against God (Muharebeh) through involvement in terrorist attacks on public and property, membership in a terrorist organization, and cooperation with the Israeli regime.
