Iran intelligence forces arrest 54 mercenaries linked to US, Israel across four provinces

Iran's Intelligence Ministry has announced the arrest of 54 operatives working for the American-Israeli enemy across four provinces, dealing a blow to espionage networks and terrorist cells operating inside the country.

The arrests, carried out by the intelligence operatives of the ministry, in the provinces of Fars, Tehran, Kermanshah, and Gilan, were made following public reports and intelligence operations, according to an official statement on Tuesday.

In Tehran province, intelligence operations led to the arrest of 41 operatives who were in contact with terrorist groups.

The detainees were involved in transmitting the locations of checkpoints, defense sites, and sensitive national facilities to the enemy, as well as photographing sites targeted by US-Israeli attacks in Tehran and sending the images to the “Iran International” terrorist network.

Among those arrested, 10 individuals were identified as spies who provided civilian locations, including residential complexes, to the enemy, falsely presenting them as military sites.

This information led to the martyrdom of several Iranian citizens.

Another six detainees were identified as operatives awaiting enemy orders, linked to terrorist groups.

Security forces discovered three communication devices, a Colt pistol, and a Starlink satellite internet device in their possession.

Two terrorist cells dismantled in Fars

In Fars province, intelligence operatives identified and arrested five members of two terrorist cells affiliated with a US-Israeli proxy group.

The cells had been formed with the aim of securing equipment, planning, and designing operations for a potential wave of coordinated terrorist attacks against security forces across the country.

The operatives had secured a safe house, purchased materials for homemade bombs, and acquired cold weapons to carry out their objectives.

They were arrested before any operational attack could be executed.

The detainees had also been active in filming and photographing all locations targeted by the Israeli enemy throughout the day and night, sending the images to the regime's media headquarters.

Weapons, spies uncovered in Kermanshah

In Kermanshah province, intelligence forces arrested an operative linked to US-Israeli terrorist groups, discovering two pistols in his possession.

Additionally, two others from border cities in the province were detained for collecting and transmitting intelligence to a known Israeli command element and photographing areas targeted by enemy attacks.

And in Gilan province, five additional operatives working for the American-Israeli enemy and linked to terrorist groups were identified and arrested by intelligence forces.
