Iran to continue martyred Leader's path under Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei: Hamas' armed wing

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei

The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas' armed wing has expressed certainty that the Islamic Republic would continue its path of revolutionary zeal, resistance, and support for the Palestinian cause under the country's new Leader.

Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades' spokesman Abu Obeida made the remarks in a statement on Friday on the occasion of the International Quds Day concerning recent election to the Islamic Republic's leadership of Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei following the martyrdom of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei during unprovoked American-Israeli aggression.

Abu Obeida pointed to the millions-strong participation that took place throughout Iran in Quds Day rallies, an occasion so designated by the late founder of the Islamic Republic Ayatollah Khomeini to galvanize international support for the Palestinian cause.

He noted how the lively rallies took place in spite of the ongoing aggression and was joined by the country's senior authorities.

Such presence, he stated, "is further proof of their principled position of supporting Palestine, and that the Islamic Republic, under the leadership of Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, will continue on the same path that was charted by the martyr Seyyed Ali Khamenei with his blood."

The spokesman also commended the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC)'s retaliatory strikes during the day against Israeli targets.

The reprisal "healed the chests of our bereaved people and lit up the hearts of the free people before they illuminated the sky of Tel Aviv."

Returning to the issue of the Quds Day, Abu Obeida considered the occasion to be "an opportunity to unite the energies of the [global Muslim] nation and correct the compass towards its major issues" in light of Palestinians' ongoing suffering at the hands of the Israeli regime and its allies.
