Foreign-backed terrorism in Iran

Iran US warning

A senior Iranian military commander has issued a stern warning to the United States, saying any attack on the country would trigger an immediate and decisive response. Major General Ali Abdollahi, commander of Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, said Washington is fully aware of the consequences of any miscalculation. The Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters is responsible for planning and coordinating joint military operations among the branches of the Iranian military. The Iranian commander warned that any aggression against Iran’s territory, security, or national interests would turn US bases and interests into legitimate targets for Iran’s armed forces. Abdollahi stressed that Iran does not seek war, but will respond swiftly and forcefully to any aggression.

Peace for Gaza?

US President Donald Trump has launched his so-called ‘Board of Peace,’ a body billed as resolving international conflicts, with a billion-dollar price tag for permanent membership. Trump signed the founding charter of his initiative during a ceremony on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos. The newly established body was initially presented as part of his proposed 20-point Gaza peace plan, but his administration later said it could take on a broader role in addressing global conflicts. Speaking at the signing ceremony, Trump said the initiative would go beyond the faltering Gaza truce.
