'US Israel behind riots'

The Iranian president says the US and Israel that attacked this country and killed the youth and children are now orchestrating the riots. Masoud Pezeshkian made the remarks in a televised address about the recent developments in Iran. He added the US and Israel seek to sow chaos and disorder in Iran by ordering riots. The Iranian President also urged citizens not to be swayed by agitators and armed groups and to keep their distance from them. Pezeshkian added that Iranians should not allow a small group of rioters to disrupt public order. Referring to what he called the legitimate economic grievances of peaceful demonstrators, he said the government is responsible for hearing public concerns and working to resolve them.

'Iran to retaliate if attacked'

Iran’s parliament speaker has warned of a harsh response to the rioters involved in what he called a terrorist war against the country. Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf stated the arrestees in the riots will be punished and those involved in acts of terror will be treated by force. He said these are people who set fire to public and private property and even attacked women and children on the streets. Qalibaf said their actions are a terrorist war, masterminded by the US, to set the stage for military action against Iran. In response to the recent threats by US president Trump, the parliament speaker warned that Israel and US military and shipping bases will be legitimate targets if Washington carries out an attack against Iran. He added that Tehran is not limited to reacting only after an action and will act based on concrete indications of a threat.

Israel Gaza strike

Overnight attacks by the Israeli regime kill at least three Palestinians in Gaza. Nine others have been injured as well in the past 24 hours. Israeli raids targeted the cities of Rafah and Khan Younis in southern Gaza, the Zeitoun neighborhood in Gaza City and other areas across the Strip. In one of the attacks, an Israeli quadcopter killed a man who was being taken to a hospital in Khan Younis. The two other were killed by military gunfire in Gaza City. Israeli warships also bombed northern coastal areas. Since the truce began in October, 442 people have been killed by Israel, and more than 71,410 since the genocidal war began in 2023.
