Trump warns of 2nd attack on Venezuela
The US president says Washington is prepared to launch a second, “much larger attack” on Venezuela, following its aggression against the South American nation. Speaking at a press conference, Trump said the intervention would create new opportunities for American oil companies. He claimed the companies would soon participate in major energy projects in Venezuela. Trump added that the US intends to run Venezuela until what he called a “safe transition of power” takes place. However, he offered no timeline. The US launched a major military attack on Venezuela, with powerful explosions rocking the capital, Caracas. The Venezuelan government said US attack targeted civilian and military sites, calling it a direct act of military aggression aimed at seizing the country’s oil and mineral resources.
Enemy plots against Iran
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei says the enemy arrogantly seeks to impose its will on the country, but Iran will not yield and will ultimately bring the enemy to its knees. Ayatollah Khamenei drew a clear distinction between protesters and rioters. The Leader stressed that officials must engage with protesters, but rioters and enemy’s mercenaries must be QUOTE put in their place. Ayatollah Khamenei warned that enemies exploit every opportunity to create instability, urging vigilance against hostile tactics. The Leader added that Iranian officials remain present and active in addressing the challenges. Ayatollah Khamenei also said that when the country faces external pressure, both the government and the people must stand firm against the enemy
Gen. Soleimani martyrdom anniversary
Hezbollah's leader has paid tribute to two key anti-terror icons, Iran's General Qassem Soleimani and his Iraqi companion Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis. Sheikh Naim Qassem described their fight against the Daesh Takfiri terrorist group as a confrontation with the US. Sheikh Qassem described General Soleimani as a courageous battlefield commander and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis as central to expelling Daesh from Iraq. General Soleimaini and Muhandis were assassinated in a US drone strike authorized by US President Donald Trump six years ago. Elsewhere in his speech, Sheikh Qassem argued that Iran's support for Lebanon is selfless, as both share the same objectives of liberation, justice, and regional stability. He contrasted this with American and Arab colonialist interventions for their own benefit. Sheikh Qassem stressed that Hezbollah seeks to ensure Lebanese sovereignty by ending Israeli aggression, a full Israeli withdrawal, reconstruction, and the retrieval of hostages. He also called for national unity to confront the common enemy.
