Severe weather floods coastal roads in southern France
Streets around seaside resorts in the Pyrenees-Orientales, a department on France's Mediterranean coast, have been closed and flooded as it has been battered by strong winds.
The department, along with Aude, has been placed on orange alert for flooding and heavy rain by the French meteorological agency, Meteo-France, which has also issued a yellow alert for the risk of coastal wave submersion.
