Slamming Israeli aggression

Senior officials of the United Nations have strongly condemned Israel’s attack on the headquarters of the UN agency for Palestinian refugees in the occupied city of al-Quds. UN Secretary General António Guterres slammed the raid, saying the site remains UN premises, and is inviolable and immune from interference. Dujarric added that the Secretary-General has called on Israel to uphold the inviolability of UNRWA premises and refrain from taking any further action with regard to those premises. Reacting to the regime’s raid, UNRWA’s Commissioner-General slammed the attack, describing it as a direct challenge to international law. In a social media post, Philippe Lazzarini said the raid came after months of harassment against the agency, including arson attacks in 2024, hateful demonstrations and intimidation, all supported by a large-scale disinformation campaign. He added that this campaign was accompanied by anti-UNRWA legislation passed by the Israeli Knesset, which he said further undermined the agency’s ability to operate. On Monday morning, Israeli forces stormed UNRWA's compound; cut down all communications; seized furniture, IT equipment and other property; and confiscated the mobile phones of security guards.

Israel Gaza truce violations

The Israeli regime presses ahead with its ceasefire violations in the Gaza Strip, killing and injuring more civilians across the war-torn territory. Gaza’s hospitals received five bodies on Monday, including three new deaths and two bodies retrieved from under the rubble. The fatalities included a woman, who died in a drone attack in Jabaliya, in northern Gaza, and another civilian killed in Israeli shelling of Deir al-Balah, in central Gaza. The new casualties increased the number of civilians killed by Israeli forces since the enforcement of the ceasefire to nearly 380. At least half a dozen civilians were also injured in an Israeli drone attack on the tents of displaced people near a market in the Shujaiya neighborhood, east of Gaza City. Casualties were also reported after Israeli warplanes bombed a house near a mosque in the al-Bassa area of Deir al-Balah. Since October 2023, the Israeli genocide in Gaza has claimed the lives of nearly 70,370 civilians, leaving more than 171,000 others injured.

Israel Lebanon aggression

Israel continues to violate the ceasefire agreement with Lebanon, as the regime carries out fresh acts of aggression against the Arab country. According to local sources, a series of Israeli airstrikes have targeted several areas in southern Lebanon, including Iqlim al-Tuffah, Nabatiyeh and Jabal Safi. Iqleem al-Tuffah has been hit with at least eight strikes. Israeli aircraft have also attacked the Wadi Azzeh and several other areas.
