Gaza ceasefire violations
The Israeli regime has carried out fresh attacks across the Gaza Strip in violation of the ceasefire, killing two children in the southern part of the war-ravaged territory. The two victims were identified as eight and 11-year-old brothers from the Bani Suheila neighborhood in Khan Yunis. According to the witnesses, Israeli drones targeted a group of civilians where the two children were critically injured and later pronounced dead. Additionally, the Israeli warships fired a number of shells into the sea off the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip. Hamas resistance movement says the deliberate killing of the two children reaffirms that the war of extermination against Palestinians in Gaza continues. The group called on ceasefire mediators to take action and stop Israeli violations. The death toll from Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has now exceeded 70,100. More than 170,000 others were also injured.

Closure of Venezuela airspace
US President Donald Trump says the airspace over and around Venezuela will be closed in its entirety amid rising tensions between the two countries. Trump made the announcement in a social media post. There has been no immediate response from Venezuela. But Cuba has slammed the move, saying that US intervention in Venezuela's airspace is part of an aggression to overthrow the country’s legitimate government. Trump's announcement comes after a week of escalating rhetoric by senior American officials against Caracas. Earlier this week, the US president also warned that he may start targeting Venezuelan drug trafficking by land soon. The US has deployed an aircraft carrier to the Caribbean and has carried out a series of deadly bombings on vessels it accused of being involved in drug trafficking, killing dozens of people.
