Iran hails Syrian resistance
The Israeli regime has drawn a chorus of condemnation for a deadly incursion into Syria that killed 20 people, including children. Syria’s Foreign Ministry denounced the attack on a Damascus suburb as a brutal massacre. The ministry said Israeli forces resorted to indiscriminate shelling after failing to advance on the ground. Iran’s foreign ministry has also condemned the killings in southern Syria. The ministry’s spokesman said the resistance of Syrian youths against the Israeli assailants is a natural and legitimate response against the act of aggression. Esmaeil Baghaei also slammed the inaction of the UN Security Council in the face of the Israeli violations against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of regional countries, including Syria and Lebanon. Earlier, the Hamas resistance movement and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, as well as Qatar, separately condemned the raid on the Syrian town of Beit Jinn.
'Arms stop Israel expansionism'
Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem has condemned Israel for the assassination of Haytham Ali Tabtabai, vowing that the resistance group will retaliate. Speaking at a memorial ceremony for the late commander, Sheikh Qassem said regional and American intelligence services provide the Israeli regime with information that allows it to operate comfortably in Lebanese territory. He said the ceasefire was a victory for the resistance, adding that Israel failed to eliminate the resistance and was instead forced into the agreement. Naim Qassem stressed that the Lebanese state is responsible for ensuring Israel’s withdrawal and deploying the army in the south. Hezbollah’s leader said resistance weapons liberated Lebanon after decades of occupation and remain the only deterrence power against Israel’s expansionist plans. He said the US and Israel are trying to strip Lebanon of its defensive capability, indicating that the real threat lies in Israeli expansionism, not Hezbollah’s arms.

It has launched airstrikes on boats in the Caribbean and deployed warships, possibly in preparation for military action. Press TV’s Camila Escalante has traveled to an eastern Venezuelan state, just miles from where the US is building up its military.
