US war on drugs: A façade for stealing Venezuela's resources

The sovereignty of a nation versus the power of the US military: that is the situation that Venezuela finds itself in.

The country with the richest and vast amount of natural resources like oil, gas, gold, and lithium, is being targeted by the US, a regime-change operation that has many goals in mind by removing the democratically-elected President Nicholas Maduro from power.

The US excuse that it's targeting drug cartels is not believed by anyone. What the US wants from Venezuela is the removal of Maduro from power, and to ultimately flood the market with Venezuelan oil and gas in order to decrease income from some of its enemies.

As of November 23, the US has announced a new phase of military aggression against Venezuela, with several US officials, who have said the United States is prepared to launch a new round of actions related to Venezuela.

The US pressure to oust Maduro from power appears to be a definite goal. With a military buildup in the Caribbean underway for months, and Trump's having authorized covert CIA operations, it may be just a matter of time before there is an invasion, or targeting of sites inside Venezuela.
