Tehran says the International Atomic Energy Agency’s approval of a US and European-drafted resolution at its Board of Governors meeting against Iran's nuclear program formally ends an earlier understanding reached with the nuclear watchdog in Cairo.
Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, stated that Iran has officially informed the Director General of the Agency that the Cairo understanding is no longer valid and considered terminated. He also emphasized that the anti-Iranian resolution has undermined the credibility and independence of the Agency.
What this resolution means at a time when Iran is still reeling from the surprise June aggression by the US and Israel, based in large part on the last damning IAEA board of governors' resolution used as a pretext, will be the topic of discussion in our Spotlight program.
