Iranian football coach Zohreh Jafari has been officially confirmed as Asia’s Best Young Female Coach of the Year for 2025 by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).
Jafari earned the prestigious award through her outstanding work within the AFC’s Grassroots framework.
Her contributions to youth education and nurturing young talents secured her a special place in the AFC’s annual evaluation of the continent’s youth coaches.
With 15 years of coaching experience, Jafari has served as the head coach of Sepahan’s youth team for the past four years. The AFC cited her pivotal role in player development and the advancement of grassroots football as the key criteria for her selection.
Under her guidance last season, Sepahan’s youth team clinched the national championship title, firmly establishing Jafari’s name among Iran’s most distinguished youth coaches.
Beyond her work with Sepahan, Jafari is also the manager and founder of a specialized football school, which has produced numerous players who have gone on to represent national teams and prominent clubs in Iran.
This achievement follows the recent recognition of Marzieh Jafari, who made history as the first Iranian to win the AFC Women’s Coach of the Year award, highlighting a remarkable period of success for Iranian women in football.
