APEC closes under Trump cloud, weakened support for free trade

APEC leaders have pledged to counter the disruptive protectionist tariff extortion of US President Donald Trump by working together to maintain free trade and open markets.
The declaration omitted commitment to a mutually beneficial rules-based order for which the grouping of Asia Pacific countries was founded.
