'No to US bullying'
Iran’s Foreign Minister says Tehran will not compromise on the rights of the Iranian people and will never tolerate domination or bullying. Abbas Araghchi says the Iranian people do not respond to the language of force, pressure, or sanctions, but to the language of respect. He criticized Washington’s domineering attitude, noting that Iran and the US could interact if the Americans abandon that approach. He also stressed that the Islamic Republic will never abandon diplomacy if the US is willing to engage in serious and genuine negotiations from an equal footing and aimed at a mutually-acceptable solution on Iran's nuclear program. The top diplomat reiterated that Iran's nuclear program is entirely peaceful and grounded in the legal rights of the Iranian nation. He stressed that Iran's security doctrine does not include nuclear weapons for a variety of reasons, including a religious decree by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
US-Israeli Gaza genocide
The Israeli military continues to attack Gaza in violation of a ceasefire agreement with the Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas. The IOF targeted several areas across the territory with artillery shells, including the al-Bureij refugee camp and al-Shuja’iyyah neighborhood. Regime forces also fired at residential buildings in Jabalia in northern Gaza. The troops opened fire on Palestinian fishing boats off the coast of Gaza, injuring several people. A child was also injured after Israeli forces shot at Palestinians in Rafah in the south. Israel and Hamas agreed on a ceasefire earlier this month. Nearly 100 people have been killed in Israeli attacks since then. Since October 2023, over 68,500 people have been killed in Israeli attacks in Gaza.
Israel's Lebanon violations
The Israeli regime has carried out another deadly airstrike in southern Lebanon in violation of the ceasefire agreement with the Arab country. At least one person was killed and another injured in a drone strike targeting a car in the town of Harouf. The attack took place near a public school and left several others injured. This comes a day after three other people were killed in targeted attacks in the southern Nabatieh district and town of Toul. There have also been reports of machine-gun fire from an Israeli position toward the outskirts of Kfarchouba. Israel has repeatedly violated the November 2024 ceasefire deal through airstrikes on various areas across Lebanon. It also maintains troops in a number of strategic areas in southern Lebanon in violation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701, which calls for Israel’s complete withdrawal from Lebanese territory.
