Gaza after ceasefire
A number of people have been killed and injured in fresh Israeli attacks on Gaza, despite a ceasefire agreement between the Tel Aviv regime and Hamas. Five people lost their lives after an Israeli quadcopter targeted civilians in the al-Shujaiya neighborhood in Gaza City. They were targeted while inspecting their homes. Additionally, Israeli artillery shelled areas in Jabalia. Several Palestinians were also injured by Israeli fire in the southern city of Khan Yunis. The ceasefire agreement was recently brokered to halt the genocidal war on Gaza. However, concerns remain in place over Israel’s compliance with the truce deal.

Israel West Bank incursions

The occupied West Bank remains the scene of violent raids by Israeli forces and settlers, who continue to attack Palestinians across the territory. In a Ramallah neighborhood, Israeli forces attacked the home of a Palestinian abductee, named Issam al-Froukh, who was released under the Gaza ceasefire deal. Earlier, the regime’s troops attacked the home of another Palestinian abducted, who was released under the deal, in a town near al-Quds. Meanwhile, the UN special rapporteur on Palestine has expressed concern over Israeli forces banning people from celebrating prisoners being released in the West Bank. Francesca Albanese said all eyes must remain on Palestine.

Slamming Trump anti-Iran remarks

The Iranian foreign ministry has strongly condemned baseless, irresponsible and shameful remarks made by the US President Donald Trump in his address to the Israeli Knesset on Monday. In a statement, the ministry said the U-S, as the world’s foremost sponsor of terrorism, has no moral standing to level accusations against others. It emphasized that repeating false claims about Iran’s peaceful nuclear program can in no way justify the US-Israeli aggression against Iran. The statement also denounced Washington’s complicity in the genocide of Palestinians in Gaza. It said the U-S must be held to account for providing impunity for Israel, including by blocking effective international measures to end the genocide and bringing the criminals to justice. The statement also described Washington’s interventionist policies as the main source of instability and insecurity in West Asia.
