Global Sumud Flotilla

The Israeli navy has intercepted the only remaining vessel in the Global Sumud Flotilla sailing toward the besieged Gaza Strip. The polish-flagged vessel, named Marinett, was seized by Israeli forces off the coast of the war-torn Palestinian territory. The newly-seized vessel reportedly has a crew of six individuals and was the last operational ship of the Global Sumud Flotilla. Since Wednesday, Israeli naval forces have stopped dozens of boats of the Gaza-bound Flotilla that set sail in August with the aim of breaking the siege of the Palestinian territory. The interception and abduction of hundreds of activists have been galvanized fresh anti-Israel protests.

Yemenis Support for Gaza

Yemeni people have held another mass rally in the northern city of Sa’ada to emphasize their support for Palestinians amid the genocide in Gaza.
Waving Palestinian and Yemeni flags, the demonstrators condemned the ongoing Israeli crimes in Gaza. They vowed to continue their Friday demonstrations until an end to Israel’s genocidal war and its blockade of the Palestinian territory. Major cities in Yemen have been the scene of weekly rallies in support of the war-ridden Gaza Strip, since the genocide was unleashed there in October 2023.

Russia-West Tensions

The Russian President has warned against Europe’s escalating militarization amid the war with Ukraine.
Putin added that such countermeasures from Russia won’t take long. The Russian head of state said all NATO states are at war with Moscow, stressing that his country will respond quickly to any threat against its security and peace. Putin made the remarks during the "Valdai Discussion Club" in Sochi. Elsewhere in his comments, he warned that supplying US Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine would lead to a whole new level of escalation, including in Moscow-Washington relations.
