Iran’s intelligence minister says even Western officials and Israeli authorities have acknowledged Iran’s infiltration inside the occupied territories, calling it a significant achievement that should be highlighted and appreciated.
Speaking at a meeting commemorating the Sacred Defense on Wednesday, Esmail Khatib said, “According to Western countries and officials of the regime, Iran has infiltrated the occupying entity, and the arrest of individuals who live within the occupied lands has been made public.”
“Acknowledging this infiltration and Iran’s power is one of the great blessings that we must express, explain, and be grateful for,” he said.
"The documents that have been seized from the regime and the valuable intelligence obtained are another one of these blessings," he added.
On August 2, Iranian intelligence operatives uncovered the full profiles of the Israeli air force pilots, commanders, and drone operators, who took part in the Israeli regime’s unprovoked war on the Islamic Republic in June.
The development was reported by official Iranian broadcast channels and the country’s various news outlets.
According to the reports, the discovery revealed the Israeli air force personnel’s complete personal details, including their identities, places of residence, operational units, military bases, and roles in other crimes.
The reports stressed that the intelligence coup was achieved despite the regime’s strict efforts to hide the personnel’s identities, as seen when Israeli news outlets routinely blurred their faces during televised coverage.
Before the Israeli regime’s unprovoked offensive against Iran on June 13, Khatib reported that Iranian intelligence operatives had gained access to a trove of secret Israeli documents related to the occupying regime’s nuclear facilities.
“The documents we obtained from the Zionist regime relate to information about their nuclear facilities,” Khatib said at the time.
“These documents and other strategic records of the regime will enhance the country’s offensive capabilities.”
Asked whether there are actually “thousands” of documents, he said, “This is a very major development, and in fact, ‘thousands’ of documents is a very small term compared to what has been acquired.”
In his Wednesday speech, Khatib pointed out that the Iranian people have never sought war. “With courage and honor, they defended the nation’s integrity against enemies backed by foreign powers who miscalculated in trying to overthrow the Islamic Republic,” he stressed.
“Thanks to the prudent leadership of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the bravery of the armed forces, the intelligence community, the actions of the 14th administration, and the people’s unity, Iran’s strength was preserved,” he said.
“During both imposed wars, enemies tried to topple the system, but with God’s help and despite militant and separatist efforts, security endured,” he added.
