'Talks with US useless'

The Leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution says so-called talks with the United States are nothing but dictation under pressure. Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, speaking at the start of the new academic year, said Washington’s demand for Iran to dismantle its nuclear program proves it is not seeking negotiations but full surrender. He stressed that America’s goal is to strip Iran of its independence, by first targeting its nuclear energy, then missiles, and eventually every aspect of national sovereignty. The Leader noted that the US has repeatedly violated its commitments, including those within the 2015 nuclear deal, so it cannot be trusted. He said negotiations under coercion are harmful. Ayatollah Khamenei stressed that the path forward is strengthening Iran’s scientific, military, and economic power. He said only a strong nation can deter aggression and protect its dignity, warning that reliance on the US or Western powers is a dangerous illusion.

Gaza ethnic cleansing toll

The US-led Israeli genocide continues to claim more Palestinian lives amid attacks aimed at annihilating Gaza City and displacing its residents. IOF has killed more than 34 Palestinians since Tuesday morning, including 25 in Gaza City which remains the epicenter of the airstrikes. Israeli forces detonated explosives-laden robots in the city’s Tal al-Hawa and Sabra neighborhoods, as well as in the Shati refugee camp. Meanwhile, Israel’s blockade of aid continues to severely impact civilians. A five-year-old girl died in Khan Yunis after days of struggling with malnutrition. The death toll from the genocide since October 2023 is close to 65,400. Some 167,000 others have been injured.
