Israel hospital attack slammed

International outrage growing after two Israeli airstrikes hit Gaza’s Al-Nasser Hospital on Monday, killing nearly two dozen people, including five journalists. The UN Special Rapporteur on Palestine has condemned the attack and called for an immediate delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza. Francesca Albanese stressed if western journalists do not stand in solidarity and demand urgent access to Gaza, they will have failed their role in these historic moments. Also, Head of the UN agency for Palestinian Refugees, Philippe Lazzarini says Israel is silencing the last remaining voices reporting about children dying silently amid famine. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has also strongly condemned the airstrikes as horrific.

Gaza ceasefire push

Qatar says the ball is now in Tel Aviv’s court but it is unwilling to reach a ceasefire agreement in Gaza. 'Europe can't activate snapback'

Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman says no European state has the right to reinstate sanctions by the UN Security Council against the Islamic Republic. Baqaei underlined that European states don’t have the legal or moral jurisdiction to activate the snapback mechanism of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, the JCPOA. He said Iran will not allow the issue to be used as a psychological warfare against the Iranian nation. Baqaei made the remarks during his weekly presser in Tehran. He referred to negotiations with Europe as well, saying the talks revolve around the removal of sanctions. Baqaei said Iran currently has NO trust in the US, citing Washington’s acts of aggression during the 12-day imposed war on Iran in June. The Iranian foreign ministry spokesman also pointed to the recent anti-semitic allegation by Australia, vowing to respond to any unjustified move by Canberra.
