Rejecting US regional presence

Iran’s president has reiterated Tehran’s strong opposition to US presence in the region. Masoud Pezeshkian made the comment in a meeting with his Armenian counterpart, Vahagn Khachaturyan. Pezeshkian said Iran's experience as well as a host of international cases prove that the US never abides by its agreements. He added that bullying countries continue to level accusations against Iran while turning a blind eye to Israel’s crimes in Gaza and other regional countries. Pezeshkian commended Armenia's condemnation of Israel’s 12-day aggression against Iran, calling for further strengthening of the two countries’ friendly relations. For his part, Khachaturyan expressed regret that international laws are easily ignored, while unilateralism and bullying spread across the globe. During Pezeshkian’s visit to Armenia, the two sides signed a joint statement and 10 cooperation agreements spanning economic, cultural, and political sectors. Iran's president then arrived in Belarus for an official visit on the invitation of his Belarusian counterpart, Aleksandr Lukashenko.

Gaza city occupation plan

A Palestinian rights group has warned that Israel’s plan for a major military operation to occupy Gaza City, will lead to a new genocide in the northern part of Gaza Strip. The Palestinian Center for Human Rights described the regime’s plan as a new phase in Israel’s systematic efforts at ethnic cleansing. It said the plan seeks to forcibly remove Palestinians from northern Gaza, annex their land, and establish new settlements. The center warned that the plan, if carried out, would lead to mass killings, arrests, torture, starvation, and the displacement of hundreds of thousands of civilians, including children and other vulnerable groups. It called on the international community to take immediate action to prevent this genocide by imposing an arms embargo on the regime. On Sunday, Israeli media confirmed that the regime has finalized operational plans to occupy the entire Gaza City, signaling the imminent execution of the operation.
