US-Israeli genocide in Gaza
Israel presses ahead with its genocide in Gaza, killing more Palestinians, including starving people who seek aid. Three Palestinians were killed, and several others injured after Israeli forces targeted aid seekers near the Netzarim corridor. More aid seekers were injured in northern Gaza in Israeli attacks. Meanwhile, four people, including two children, have lost their lives in the latest 24-hour reporting period due to malnutrition and starvation amid the Israeli blockade on Gaza. This brings the total number of deaths due to starvation and malnutrition to 201, including 98 children. The death toll from the US-Israeli genocide since October 2023 has now risen above 61,300, with more than 152,300 others injured.
Israel’s ‘dangerous escalation’
The United Nations’ Secretary-General is gravely alarmed by Israel’s decision to take control of Gaza City. That’s what a spokesperson for the UN chief said, adding that Antonio Guterres considers Israel’s decision a dangerous escalation.
Yemen support for Palestine
Yemen continues to take action to help stop the genocide in Gaza. The country’s armed forces say they’ve fired three drones at the Israeli-occupied territories in their latest operation. Yahya Saree also warned all shipping companies that continue to transport goods to ports in the occupied territories that their ships will be targeted in waters around Yemen if they do not stop dealings with the regime. The spokesman stated that the Yemeni position stems from its religious, moral, and humanitarian commitments. He also urged the Arab and Muslim countries to take action now to save the people of Gaza from starvation. He said the world is facing a crime of annihilation that history will not forget. The Arab countries have carried out hundreds of missile and drone attacks on the occupied territories as well as Israel-linked ships since the Gaza genocide began in 2023.
