Genocide and starvation
Israel presses ahead with its war of genocide in Gaza, killing more Palestinians including starving aid seekers. Three Palestinians were killed and several others were injured after Israeli forces targeted aid seekers near the Netzarim corridor. More aid seekers suffered injuries in northern Gaza from Israeli attacks while waiting for aid trucks to enter. Meanwhile, an 18-month-old child was the latest victim of Israel’s starvation strategy, dying due to the lack of milk formula. The new fatality increased the total number of starvation-related deaths to around 200. The death toll from the US-Israeli genocide since October 2023 has topped 61,200, with more than 152,000 others injured.
Israel Gaza onslaught
A top European Union official has sounded the alarm over Israel’s actions in Gaza, saying they look very much like genocide. European Commission Executive Vice President Teresa Ribera noted that Palestinians are being targeted, killed, and left to starve to death. She emphasized that Israel's conduct in Gaza goes far beyond international law limits. Ribera also urged the suspension of the EU-Israel Association Agreement, which governs economic ties between the two sides. Her comments come as the war on Gaza has been widely condemned worldwide as a genocidal war since its very beginning.
Israel Gaza City takeover
Israel’s security cabinet has approved a plan to take over Gaza City amid rising tensions among the regime’s officials. According to the prime minister’s office, the Israeli military will prepare to take control of the city. The plan was approved while the IOF chief has said the Gaza City takeover will endanger Israeli captives’ lives. Opposition leader Yair Lapid has also called the move a disaster influenced by far-right ministers. He added that the decision would lead to the deaths of more captives and many soldiers. The plan was approved as Benjamin Netanyahu pushed for full control over the entire Gaza Strip. Hamas has condemned Netanyahu’s plan to occupy the Strip. It said the plan is an extension of Netanyahu’s genocidal policies against Palestinians, and exposes the true motive behind the regime’s withdrawal from the truce talks.
