Italy, Germany oppose recognition of Palestinian statehood

Italy and Germany have responded to France's announcement that Paris will recognize Palestine's statehood by refusing to immediately recognize a Palestinian state.
Italy's Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni even said that recognizing a Palestinian state before it is established could be counterproductive.
