West Bank settler violence

The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights has voiced deep concern over the escalating settler violence targeting Palestinians across the occupied West Bank. The UN rights office said settlers' attacks on Palestinian towns and refugee camps in the West Bank are not isolated incidents. It noted that dozens of armed settlers have recently carried out coordinated attacks targeting several villages near the cities of Ramallah and Nablus. The office added that israeli settlers set fire to Palestinian homes and vehicles, and fire live ammunition at civilains. According to the UN rights office, three Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces, and at least six others were injured by gunfire during a recent raid on the village of Kafr Malik near Ramallah. It said reports compiled by the Office since October 2023, indicate that Israeli settlers have killed 14 Palestinians in the West Bank, including two children.
