Tehran funeral ceremony

Iranians have taken to the streets of Tehran to hold a massive funeral procession, honoring over 60 martyrs who lost their lives in the recent aggression by the Israeli regime on the country. The event pays tribute to the martyred military commanders, nuclear scientists, and innocent civilians, including women and children. The ceremony kicked off at Tehran’s iconic Islamic Revolution Square with mourners making their way toward the Azadi Square, a few kilometers away. The participants, holding national flags and placards, chanted anti-Zionist and anti-American slogans. Since the start of the Israeli aggression on June 13, the regime has targeted civilian infrastructure across the country, resulting in casualties among civilians.

US-Israeli terror campaign

Iran has strongly condemned recent threats by Israeli and US officials against the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, labeling them as unlawful, provocative, and a form of state terrorism. Iran’s ambassador to the United Nations, Amir Saeed Iravani, has condemned what he called “shameless” and “repeated” threats by US and Israeli officials to assassinate the Leader of the Islamic Revolution. In a letter to the UN Secretary-General, Iravani cited recent remarks by Israel’s minister of military affairs, who openly discussed plans to target the Leader. He said the comments were made in full coordination with similar statements by the US President, who recently described the Leader as a potential target. Iravani emphasized that such threats constitute a blatant violation of international law and the UN Charter, and also breach established legal principles, including the immunity of heads of state. He urged the UN chief and the Security Council to strongly condemn the threats and take appropriate action to hold those responsible for these internationally wrongful acts accountable.

Deadly US aid

The United Nations has warned of a devastating civilian toll amid the Gaza aid crisis, saying that Israel continues to restrict delivery of fuel into and throughout the strip, 'effectively choking off' life-saving services.
