Slamming Trump remarks
The Iranian president has criticized his American counterpart’s latest anti-Iran comments. Masoud Pezeshkian says Donald Trump's remarks show he does not know Iranians properly. Pezeshkian said Trump claims Iran is the cause of insecurity in the region, while they have themselves killed 60,000 women and children in Gaza and deprived them of water and medicine. Pezeshkian said the United States still supports extremist groups in the region, and at the same time, accuses Iran of creating insecurity. He said during the past 47 years, Americans have done all in their power to bring the Iranian people to their knees, but to no avail. The Iranian President stressed that threats made against Iran have no effect on the will of the nation. He added that those who violate all human principles cannot intimidate the Iranian nation with threats. Pezeshkian was responding to Trump's comments during an address at the US-Persian Gulf Summit in Riyadh.
US-Israeli Gaza genocide
More Palestinians are slaughtered in Gaza as the Israeli military presses ahead with its genocidal campaign against innocent women and children across the blockaded territory. In one of the latest strikes, nearly 30 civilians were killed and at least one-hundred others injured after the Israeli bombing of several homes in the southern city of Khan Yunis. Earlier, at least five people were killed and several others wounded in the bombing of a Palestinian home in the town of Jabaliya, northern Gaza. Also in Jabaliya, an Israeli airstrike targeting tents of displaced people at the Al-Amal refugee camp claimed the lives of two civilians and injured several others. Israeli fighter jets also hit the vicinity of a mosque in Gaza’s Shuja'iyya neighborhood. The attack resulted in one fatality and a number of injuries. Another Israeli attack east of Gaza City, left at least one Palestinian dead and several others injured. Nearly 52,930 Palestinians have been killed in the Israeli genocide since October 2023. More than 119,800 others have been injured.
Resistance retaliation
At least, one Israeli settler has been killed in a retaliatory operation by Palestinian resistance fighters in the northern occupied West Bank. Palestinian media have confirmed the death of a female settler and serious injuries of two others in the shooting, which took place near the Ariel settlement, west of the city of Salfit. Israeli media reported that the vehicle carrying the settlers was shot at close range, and the attacker managed to flee the scene. Hamas hailed the operation as ‘heroic’, saying it proves that Palestinians will never accept injustice and aggression. It added that the operation was also a response to the Israel’s escalating crimes and the ongoing aggression against the people of Gaza and the West Bank. Abu Obeida, the spokesman for Hamas’ military wing, the Al-Qassam Brigades, also reacted to the operation. He called on all Palestinians to rise up against the Israeli aggression against the West Bank and its camps, and in support of Gaza.
