Russia-Ukraine truce violation
Moscow and Kiev have traded accusations of violating the Easter truce declared by Russian President Vladimir Putin. Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russian forces were continuing their shelling and assaults along the front line. Russia’s defense ministry says its forces repelled Ukrainian assaults overnight, alleging Kiev launched hundreds of drone and artillery strikes that resulted in civilian casualties. Moscow insists its troops adhered to the ceasefire. On Saturday, Putin announced a truce, saying it was motivated by "humanitarian reasons". The 30-hour ceasefire is the most significant pause in the three-year conflict.
