Israel blocking Gaza aid

Israel's decision to stop the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza has drawn sharp reactions and universal condemnation from around the world. Egypt, a main broker of the Gaza ceasefire deal, slammed Israel’s decision as a "flagrant violation" of the agreement. It said Israel uses starvation as a weapon against the Palestinian people. Saudi Arabia condemned the move, calling it "blackmail" and "collective punishment.” It urged the international community to end Israel’s grave violations. Jordan and Qatar also demanded the immediate re-entry of aid into Gaza while denouncing Israel’s decision as a violation of international law. Earlier, UN chief Antonio Guterres called for the immediate resumption of aid delivery, urging all parties to prevent a return to hostilities. The EU also criticized Israel's aid blockade, warning of its "humanitarian consequences." Israel halted the entry of aid into Gaza on Sunday after Hamas refused to extend the first phase of the ceasefire agreement.

Anti-Netanyahu protests

Hundreds of Israeli settlers have held a protest rally in the occupied city of al-Quds, calling for the completion of the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement. The protesters blocked the road outside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s residence. They threatened to continue their protest until the regime’s cabinet agrees to a deal with Hamas that would lead to the release of the remaining captives in Gaza. Israeli forces set up barricades to prevent the demonstrators, who lit flares and bonfires, from getting too close to Netanyahu’s residence. The protest followed the Israeli prime minister's decision to extend the first phase of the Gaza ceasefire until the end of the holy month of Ramadan and the Jewish Passover holiday. Hamas, however, has rejected the extension to the first phase, asserting that the regime's failure to implement the second phase would endanger the lives of the captives.

Israel West Bank aggression

The Israeli regime has stepped up its military aggression against the West Bank, with the occupied territory’s northern cities being the main targets of its atrocities. According to local sources, the regime’s forces have set Palestinians’ homes on fire in the Nour Shams refugee camp, east of the city of Tulkarm. Flames were rising from buildings, as the Israeli army continued its aggression against the city and its camp for the 35th consecutive day. The attack took place just hours after the Israeli military demolished about 30 housing units as part of its ongoing demolition operations targeting the Nur Shams camp. A young Palestinian man was also injured after an Israeli military vehicle deliberately rammed his car west of Tulkarm. In a separate incident, Israeli forces razed a factory and commercial facility in the north of the city of Ariha. During the past months, Israeli forces have demolished many Palestinian homes and businesses in different areas of Ariha.
