US-Israeli genocide in Gaza
Eight months into the US-Israeli genocide in Gaza; the regime continues with its air and artillery strikes on the blockaded territory. In one of the latest attacks, the regime’s military bombed a group of civilians at the entrance of a shelter in Deir al-Balah, killing at least eight of them and injuring several others. In a separate attack, the Israeli airstrike killed at least eight Palestinian police officers while on duty, also in the Deir al-Balah area in central Gaza. Several Palestinians were also killed in an air raid on al-Maghazi refugee camp.
Israeli violence in West Bank
The UN Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Turk describes the Israeli violence in the occupied West Bank as unfathomable and unacceptable. The UN human rights chief criticized Israel for disregarding the lives of Palestinians in the occupied territories, saying they are subjected to day-after-day of unprecedented bloodshed. Volker Turk insisted that the destruction, killing and widespread human rights violation of Palestinians in territories occupied by Israel must end immediately.
'Iran stands with resistance'
Iran’s Acting Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani says the bond between Iran and Syria will remain deep and strategic, as it is rooted in solid principles and shared interests. Highlighting Iran's commitment to enhancing bilateral relations, the top Iranian diplomat emphasized that the ties between Tehran and Damascus not only serve the two states’ interests, but also benefits regional nations.
