Nearly four months into Israel’s relentless bombardment of the Gaza Strip, the regime continues targeting residential buildings, hospitals, and humanitarian shelters, killing at least 200 Palestinians in a matter of a day.

Resistance retaliates

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq says it has carried out a fresh attack on Israeli targets in occupied Palestinian territories. In a statement, the group said it launched a drone strike on an Israeli military target at dawn on Monday. The Islamic Resistance in Iraq says it will continue to hit enemy strongholds. There are no words on the possible damage or casualties. In a separate incident on Sunday, the US said three of its troops were killed in a drone strike on a military base straddling the border between Jordan and Syria. The US Central Command says at least 25 service members were also injured. US President Joe Biden has blamed resistance groups in Iraq and Syria for the attack. But there has been no claim of responsibility so far.

Europe farmers protests

Farmers across Europe bring their vehicles on the roads to protest what they describe as the E-U’s unfair agricultural policies. In France, farmers have been blocking roads with tractors and planning a siege of Paris. They are protesting foreign competition, rising costs, and low payments. Also in Germany, farmers held a week of national strikes against plans to scrap tax breaks on fuel for agricultural vehicles. Farmers and truck drivers in Romania have also taken action this month with protests against high business costs blocking access to a border crossing with Ukraine. Traffic around the Belgian capital was also disrupted by angry farmers on Monday and about a dozen tractors made it through to Brussels' EU area where they honked loudly. Such protests have become widespread and are expected to be a significant topic in the run-up to the European Parliamentary elections in June.
