'Post-9/11 wars have contributed to some 4.5 million deaths'

A new report has revealed that the US-led wars in the Middle East and North Africa following the 9/11 attacks directly or indirectly killed at least 4.5 million people and displaced millions of others.

According to the research by the Costs of War Project at the Watson Institute of Brown University, nearly one million people were killed in Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Syria, Yemen, Libya, and Somalia.
