Condemning Israeli aggression

'US not serious about Democracy'
A poll conducted in over a dozen Muslim-majority countries shows people doubt the US is serious about democracy in the region. The Gallup survey also says the majority of people in 13 countries, including Iraq, were skeptical the US would allow them to a self-determined future. Just over one in four Iraqis agreed with the statement. 90 percent of those surveyed in Afghanistan, Iran, Tunisia, Kuwait, Jordan, and occupied Palestine had similar views. An earlier Gallup poll across several Muslim-majority nations showed similar results. Those polled had negative perceptions of the US due to what they saw as a lack of progress in its foreign policy toward Muslim nations. Anti-US sentiments remain high in the Muslim World ever since America invaded Iraq and Afghanistan over two decades ago. The US has also launched psychological warfare against other Muslim-majority nations.
China military drills
China has kicked off military exercises around Taiwan, three days after Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen met with the US House Speaker, despite Beijing's opposition. The maneuvers will run until Monday. China says the drills are a stern warning to Taiwan following Tsai’s meeting with Kevin McCarthy in the US. Beijing says the meeting was a provocation and a violation of the one-china policy. China says Taiwan is part of its territory and is opposed to America’s relations with the island. Taiwan however remains defiant. On Saturday, it hosted a group of American lawmakers who pledged more support for Taiwan. The island has also condemned China’s drills and promised to defend its security. Taipei says it has detected nine Chinese warships and 71 fighter jets crossing the Taiwan Strait's median line.
