UN Report on Sanctions
Alena Douhan, the Special UN Rapporteur, has presented her report to the UNHRC. It was a scathing report on the effect of sanctions on peoples lives, pointing out in particular how US sanctions severely impact the economies and lives of people, especially in the case of Iran.
The question that remain however is what difference will this make: will the US be held to account, and can the US do anything to prevent these sanctions or stop them?
