A push by Republicans for a probe into Hunter Biden has gathered new momentum after a New York Post report found a business partner of Hunter Biden visited the White House on several occasions while Joe Biden was vice president.

On Saturday, the Post reported Eric Schwerwin, the president of investment firm Rosemont Seneca Partners where Hunter Biden was a founding member, made at least 19 visits to the White House and other official locations between 2009 and 2015.

Schwerwin had meetings with aides and assistants to the then-vice president and Jill Biden, according to White House visitor logs the post reviewed.

He also had a meeting with Joe Biden himself on November 17, 2010 in the West Wing.

The meetings were held while Hunter Biden was striking multi-million dollar deals in foreign countries, including China.

The Post report comes after Biden and the White House have insisted the president has never talked with Hunter Biden about his business dealings abroad.

“I have never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings,” he said in 2019.

Republican Sen. Ron Johnson said, “Not everyone gets to meet the Vice President of the United States in the White House. The press should be asking why Hunter Biden’s business associates — like Eric Schwerin — had that privilege and were given access to the Obama White House.”

“This is additional evidence that Joe Biden lied when he said he never discussed Hunter’s foreign business dealings. It’s well past time for the corporate media to demand the truth from Joe Biden. The corruption of Biden Inc. must be exposed.”

Members of the GOP have said they want to investigate Hunter Biden themselves if they win the majority again 2022.

"EXPLAIN THIS ONE. Joe Biden has said he had no idea of Hunter's business dealings but.... The Obama White House visitor logs reveal that Hunter's business partner Eric Schwerin met w then-Vice President Biden and other officials during 19 visits from 2009-2015," Sean Spicer, who served as press secretary under former President Donald Trump tweeted.

Also, Republican Sen. Ted Cruz said that obviously Biden’s son’s business “revolved around providing access to his father and the highest levers of power.”

“It reeks of pay-to-play. The clear solution is a Special Counsel investigation to fairly investigate the disturbing allegations of Biden family corruption," Cruz told the New York Post.

Democrats have been critical of Republicans over their focus on Hunter Biden as the GOP has dismissed efforts to look into Trump.

"Hunter Biden has never been in office and isn't seeking office. Donald Trump led a failed coup against his government," Representative Eric Swalwell, a Democrat from California, has said. "The Republicans are obsessed with investigating Hunter Biden and have no interest in guarding against another Trump coup."
