Saudi-backed officials hold Riyadh accountable for Yemen's crisis

The president of the Shura Council and the deputy-speaker of the House of Representatives in the Saudi-backed Hadi regime has admitted that the regime has turned its back to Yemeni people and accused the Saudi-led coalition of causing a humanitarian crisis for the whole nation.
Deputy Minister of Information in Sana'a Nasruddin Amer said the acknowledgement came at the right time, adding Sana'a encourages such stances against the Saudi-led coalition, even if they do not have a direct impact on the battle.
Saudi Arabia and its allies launched a deadly war on Yemen on March 2015 to return their protégé, exiled former president Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi to power.
The war has killed hundreds of thousands of civilians most of them women and children and pushed the country to the brink of famine.
For seven years now, Saudi Arabia has failed to achieve any of its announced goals in the beginning of the war. Observers say Riyadh should start looking for other means, including a political solution, to get rid of the quagmire it is stuck with its war on Yemen.
