Italy introduces mobile 'cuddle room' to retirement homes
Deprived of physical contact because of COVID, residents of retirement homes in an Italian province are offered an original solution: an inflatable and mobile "cuddle room" where they can hug their loved ones in complete safety.
The initiative was started in the province of Avellino, not far from Naples, thanks to a consortium specialized in social services, and since Christmas the "cuddle room" has been operational and has been travelling throughout the province, stopping for a few days in each retirement home.
