US impeding Iran's access to COVID-19 vaccine: Health officials tell Press TV

Iranian Health Ministry officials have talked to Press TV, giving assurances that indigenously-produced vaccine will be available for use soon.
The coronavirus death toll in Iran has dropped by almost half, but officials are still concerned.
Back in October, the situation with the outbreak of coronavirus in many Iranian cities reached critically high levels, but thanks to restrictions that were enforced nationwide only 12 cities are now in critical condition.
Iranian authorities say they are making preparations to purchase vaccines from abroad, but US-sanctions are slowing down the process. Washington's maximum pressure policy and especially its sanctions targeting Iran's banking system are impeding the government's attempts to import vaccines and much-needed medications.
