Gaza’s stolen voices
Ramadan has been no barrier to constant Israeli bombardment inside Gaza. Apartheid Israel is pushing on with its vicious US-led bombing and man-made starvation campaign with more devastating consequences for the Palestinians.
It matters not that Australia has joined the European Union and Canada in reinstating funding to the key UN aid agency, UNRWA.
Still, the bombardment continues. Cracks are starting to show in the relationship between Israeli allies inside Washington, and the warmongering regime in Tel Aviv with Senate majority leader, Chuck Schumer, leading the calls for Israel to hold elections to replace an out-of-favor Benjamin Netanyahu. Still, this has not stopped the bombings.
Despite the US Treasury announcing new sanctions against a few settlers in the occupied West Bank, the UK government is pushing in the other direction and targeting a raft of Palestine, Muslim groups with a new definition of extremism.
Palestinians inside Gaza continue the daily fight to stay alive. As well as having their lives taken, Palestinians know they are those in the West who continue to steal their voices and shut down support for the Palestinian cause wherever possible.
