Ayatollah Khamenei message to students
Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyid Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei has called on students to strengthen themselves with knowledge, piety and ethics in the face of the “brutality” of the US and the “fake Zionist regime.” In a message marking the new school year, Ayatollah Khamenei said knowledge combined with piety and ethics can serve as a “steel shield” against aggression. The Leader urged students to pursue education, practical skills, hope and self-development. He also called on the youth to draw inspiration from previous generations who defended Iran’s dignity and power. The Leader called the previous generations examples of self-sacrifice, extraordinary courage and nobility that should be adopted as role models by today’s students.
UN General Assembly session
World leaders gather in New York for the annual United Nations General Assembly. The sessions of the 81st UNGA will last 6 days. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and General Assembly President Khalilur Rahman officially open the 81st General Assembly at UN headquarters in New York. US President Donald Trump, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and French President Emmanuel Macron are among the leaders scheduled to address the assembly on Tuesday. Ahead of his departure for New York, President Masoud Pezeshkian said he would use the UN forum to raise the grievances of the Iranian people, as well as crimes and mistrust that have emerged. He said the General Assembly offers Iran an opportunity to present its views and concerns to the international community.
Iran enemies warned
Iranian armed forces, including the Army and the IRGC, have warned adversaries of crushing retaliatory strikes. They have vowed full preparedness for a prolonged confrontation. Army Spokesperson Brigadier General Mohammad Akrami-Nia warned that Iran is fully prepared to defend itself. He emphasized that any aggression will trigger a more crushing response using new combat tactics. Meanwhile, IRGC spokesman Brigadier General Hossein Mohebi declared that US hegemony has collapsed following the recent conflicts. He stated that the pillars of American power, invincibility, regional security provision, and political legitimacy have shattered. Mohebbi also said that US bases are now liabilities, and the IRGC remains prepared for a prolonged confrontation.
