Iran’s judiciary chief, Gholam-Hossein Mohseni Eje’i, has said in a message marking April 1 that the “good end” of the recent war would be the expulsion of US forces from the region and the beginning of the end of the “vile” Israeli regime.
April 1 in Iran, corresponding to the 12th of Farvardin, is celebrated as Islamic Republic Day, marking the 1979 referendum that established the Islamic Republic and ended the monarchy.
In his message on Wednesday, Eje’i described April 1 as “one of our greatest religious and national holidays,” quoting the late leader Imam Khomeini, who called it “the day of the nation’s victory and the leadership of the people.”
“The way and goal of the Islamic Republic is the same as that of the divine prophets,” Eje’i said.
“Just as patience, steadfastness and reliance on God were the main components of the prophets’ movements, the Islamic Republic emphasizes and adheres to these principles and stands against the tyrants and oppressors of the age.”
Eje’i added: “This year we commemorate April 1 amid a decisive battle with the devils of the world.”
“The Islamic Republic is a system inherently opposed to tyranny. The current tyrant ruling the United States and his impure Zionist apprentice must know that the conclusion of this battle will be their destruction at the forefront of the Islamic Iran-led resistance.”
He said the US president is exploiting war for personal financial gain and failing to achieve his objectives, saying Washington has sought support from neighboring countries to fund its military.
“This devilish actor, with a project designed by the Zionists, envisions the destruction of the entire West Asia region, but the good end of this war is the expulsion of Americans from our region and the beginning of the end of the vile Israeli regime,” Eje’i said.
The judiciary chief also condemned the US and Israeli attacks on Iran as violations of international law.
“The US and Israeli regimes have trampled all concepts and rules of international law and committed numerous crimes against the Iranian nation,” he said.
He cited military aggression that began with the 12-day war in June and continued during Ramadan, which martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, senior military and political officials, and civilians, including children in cities such as Minab, as “clear and blatant violations of the principles of international law and the United Nations Charter.”
Eje’i said the judiciary would cooperate with relevant authorities, especially the Foreign Ministry, to pursue the legal dimensions of the US and Israeli actions in international courts.
“We extend our hand to judicial and legal bodies of Islamic countries and neighbors,” he added, “and hope that Muslim nations will respond, knowing that their main enemies are the Americans and Zionists, who seek to dominate them and deprive them of dignity, honor, and wealth.”
He also praised the courage of Iranian forces, saying: “We send greetings to all martyrs, especially the martyrs of the recent war, led by the martyr leader of the Iranian nation, Imam Khamenei.”
“We appreciate the devoted and brave spirit of our people and armed forces, who now occupy the streets and fields day and night, and we ask God to grant them continued success,” Eje’i added.
