US-Israeli Gaza genocide

The Israeli military continues its indiscriminate strikes on Gaza, killing more Palestinian civilians in its latest round of attacks. Aid distribution centers are still the primary targets of direct Israeli fire. At least nine civilians were killed after Israeli forces opened fire on aid seekers near Rafah, southern Gaza. Four others were killed in an Israeli strike near an aid distribution center in the Netzarim corridor, central Gaza. On Saturday, scores of Gazans were killed in similar Israeli strikes near aid distribution centers. Meanwhile, multiple fatalities were reported among Palestinians in Israeli air and artillery attacks targeting various parts of the besieged territory. The US-Israeli campaign of genocide, which began in October 2023, has so far killed more than 60,100 Palestinians, leaving over 146,200 others injured.

Iran military readiness

Iran's army chief says the country is ready to use its missile and drone force in further operations against enemies, warning that Israel’s threats against Tehran should not be considered over. Major General Amir Hatami says despite enduring some damage during a recent aggression by the Israeli regime, Iran’s armed forces managed to deal heavy blows to the enemy, preventing the regime from achieving its goals. General Hatami said the Israeli regime under the illusion of damaging the Islamic establishment, had organized various conspiracies, but Iranians’ strengthened unity following the aggression, thwarted the enemy’s plots. Back in June, Israel launched an unprovoked aggression against Iran, which claimed the lives of nearly 1,100 Iranians. In response, Iran’s armed forces fired missiles and drones at Israeli targets in the occupied territories.

China-Russia drills

China and Russia have launched joint military exercises in the Sea of Japan and the Pacific amid growing tensions with the US in the region. China’s Defense Ministry says the Joint Sea 2025 wargames kicked off in waters near the Russian port of Vladivostok and will last for three days. Four Chinese ships, including two guided-missile destroyers, are participating in the exercises alongside Russian vessels. The focus will be maritime combat and joint anti-submarine, air defense and anti-missile operations. Russia and China have been holding the annual drills since 2012. But this year’s drills come amid especially-heightened tensions over the recent US nuclear warning to Russia and Washington’s military tensions with Beijing over a range of issues, including Taiwan.
