US-Israeli genocide in Gaza
Israel’s relentless airstrikes and shelling continue to hit the Gaza Strip, leading to more deaths and destruction in the blockaded territory. At least 35 Palestinians were killed in regime's attacks on Gaza since the early hours of Friday, including seven aid seekers. In the latest attacks, three Palestinians were killed in an Israeli strike on the Tuffah neighborhood in Gaza City. Another Israeli attack has hit tents sheltering displaced Palestinians in al-Mawasi, starting a major fire and killing at least five people, including children. The ongoing genocide has killed more than 58,600 people and injured nearly 140-thousand others since October 2023. Most of the victims have been women and children.
'Mass starvation policy' in Gaza
Hamas resistance movement has declared its full readiness to engage in a prolonged battle of attrition against Israel, regardless of the regime’s tactics or future plans. The spokesman for Qassam Brigades, Abu Obeida, warned that if Israel chooses to persist in what he called a “war of extermination,” it will face increasing funerals for its soldiers and officers. He outlined Hamas’s current strategy as one focused on inflicting casualties, carrying out special operations, and seeking the capture of enemy soldiers. He stated that Hamas fighters have already killed or wounded hundreds of Israeli Occupation Forces personnel, with thousands more suffering from psychological trauma. Abu Obeida confirmed that the movement continues to monitor ceasefire negotiations, expressing that any agreement must guarantee an end to the war, the withdrawal of occupying forces, and meaningful relief for the Palestinian people.
Syria clashes
Tensions remain high in Syria following days of deadly clashes in the flashpoint city of Sweida. Fresh reports indicate renewed fighting across the southern region. According to local sources, Druze fighters and Bedouin tribal groups have begun fighting once again. Despite this escalation, the Syrian Interior Ministry denies any plans to re-deploy troops in the Suwayda governorate to quell the unrest. Meanwhile, Israeli media report that regime forces have targeted a convoy of Bedouin fighters en route to Suwayda. Tel Aviv is also sending 600,000 dollars in aid to support the Druze community. In a broader intervention, Israeli forces have launched strikes on key Syrian sites, including the Defense Ministry headquarters and the presidential palace in Damascus. The clashes in Suwayda reignited on Sunday, leaving hundreds of people killed with many more injured.
