Suhad Khatib: Intifada art

Omar Shargawi finds himself in Amman, Jordan, just 175 km from Rafah, where Israel is currently carrying out inhumane massacres of civilian Palestinians seeking refuge in tents in so-called safe zones. Omar speaks with Palestinian artist and activist Suhad Khatib, who was born and raised in Jordan and has lived in the US for 17 years. They discuss the decline of imperialism, the parallels between the Black Lives Matter and the Palestinian freedom struggles, and how the institutions of the power elite use propaganda and division as weapons to create division among all of us who are fighting for the same thing: freedom and the right to exist on equal terms with everyone else.
